On-line Assessment

On-line assessment is a current buzz word. This conference will outline some of the limitations and utilizations of this technique. Practical tips and tricks will be shared, as well as a conceptual framework.

Bio:
Chris Cobitz, among other talents, develops software for use with students, tools for teachers and administrators, and studies the linkage between philosophy of teachers and achievement of the learner. His background is secondary science education with degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana. He also worked as a member of the technical team in the Office of Instructional Resources at the University of Illinois. He is currently the Instructional Technology Specialist (Spangler position) within the School of Education at North Carolina A&T State University. He has done numerous presentations at state and regional conferences on his methods for integrating the best of technology into teaching.
