Diane Midness

Diane is an Educator on Loan to NCCIU from Wake County Schools where she has served as Technology Coordinator and Media Specialist at Enloe High School. She is a pioneer in international classroom partnerships using Internet technology. She has been president and charter member of Educators Dedicated to Instructional Technology; founder and leader, Telecommunications in Education; and program director for International Education Communications Center, Global Telecommunications Initiative. She received a Technology Educator Distinguished Leadership Certificate from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in 1993.email: dmidness@ga.unc.edu

 

Thelma Kastl

thelma.jpg (29476 bytes)Thelma teaches Technology Systems at Ashe County Career Center in West Jefferson, NC. She is currently the Teacher of the Year at the ACCC. Thelma also teaches blueprint and electrical classes at Wilkes Community College. Thelma represented Appalachian State University as 1995-96 recipient of the Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities. She has also represented Wilkes Community College as the 1992-93 recipient of the Who's Who Among American Junior Colleges. Thelma graduated from ASU Summa Cum Laude. In her free time she does research and design on pulse width modulators and alternative transportation.

 

Vance Herring

vance.jpg (97605 bytes)Vance presently teaches Technology Education at Clinton High School in Clinton, NC. His work with ISPT to promote Internet access as a curriculum builder has resulted in TELL (Technology Enhances Lifelong Learning) grant, a $100,000.00 recipient of the (TLCF) Technology Learning Challenge Funds where he presently serves as consultant and technical advisor for Clinton High School. He has worked as consultant to VOCATS curriculum for Technology Education and has been the recipient of "The Most Outstanding Technology Program in North Carolina" for 1996 as recognized by the ITEA (International Technology Education Association).

 

Jimmy Backer

Jimmy teaches English as a foreign language at Har V'Gai Regional High School in Kibbuts Dafna, Upper Galilee, Israel. He has been a Counselor for the Ministry of Education, Israel and is currently working on his Ph.D. in Instructional Technology at NOVA Southeastern University.

Vladimir Timofeyev

Vladimir is an instructor of Accounting Information Systems and Chief Engineer on Information Systems for Accounting, Insurance, Banking and Law at Rostov Cologe of Economics and Finance, Rostov-na-donu, Russia.
