This session will focus on the role of technology specialists in various school districts. That job title implies different responsibilities depending on the school district it supports.

Questions for reflection:

• How is technology supported in your school system?
• Where are the technology specialists based: are they school-based or do they work out of the county office?
• What are their responsibilities--hardware maintenance, software troubleshooting, teaching students, assisting teachers?
• Would it be helpful to have an on-line support system/forum to discuss problems and solutions for technology?
