Bill has been using CU-SeeMe technology since early 1995. Since the PC version didn't even have a chat window back then, he started the #cu-seeme IRC channel on Undernet, managing it for two years. He and some other friends helped provide interactive support for CU-SeeMe from IRC in their spare time. He subscribed to the CU-SeeMe mailing list at Cornell University in November of 1995, and quickly built up a knowledge base of CU-SeeMe information, which he was invited to put on Cornell's web server. He has been a beta tester for White Pine's 2.1, 3.0, and 3.5 reflector programs, and 3.0 and 3.1 CU-SeeMe client programs. He also created an extensive web users guide for Cornell's .84b7 version, and worked very closely with Steve Edgar at Cornell University, debugging and suggesting enhancements to their .92b2 version, and designed the phonebook which was added to that version. Bill's relationship with Steve was also helpful in the development of the "unofficially released" 1.0 version. Bill's CU-SeeMe Users Guide is the only guide of its kind for the latest Cornell 1.0 version.
