As students research and collect information they often need to access data from outside their classrooms.  The Data Exchange provides links to online databases, teacher/student created databases, and offers a common area where schools can build databases that support their curriculum and where they need to collect data from other classes.

Participants in this project will be able to:

access Internet-based databases

download teacher/student created databases

join the Data Exchange eGroup for online collaboration and submission/creation of an online database

register to become part of The Data Exchange.

The Ultimate Roller Coaster website is the "everything you ever wanted to know" resource on the subject. It contains an excellent database on U.S. roller coasters that can be sorted by names and theme parks. In its yellow pages there are over three hundred coasters listed. To access the database from the homepage, click on Rollercoaster Yellow Pages then click on Sorted by Roller Coaster or Sorted by Theme Parks.
