Overview:
For this session participants will participate in an actual Town Meeting.  The meeting can take place this week or during the month of May.  This meeting needs to be in addition to the one the that will be conducted for your team project.  This will allow first-hand experience in an actual Town Meeting and opportunity to gather information for creating a transcript of the session.  During this week teams should continue planning and working on their project.  Team Town Meeting introduction pages should be submitted to the instructor by the end of the week (see Fort Dobbs for an example of the proper format) for publication in the Teachers Connect Town Meeting section.  In preparation for the last class session, CU-SeeMe: the new generation, iVisit - http://www.ivisit.com/ software needs to be downloaded and installed on a computer.

Copy text and at least two pictures and paste in a word processor document
Reorder text so that the thought threads are in proper sequence.  For example: the answer follows the question.
Save in Rich Text Format (.rtf) and place in your folder on  eGroups
Download and install iVisit software.
PC::
To be safe and successful, download iVisitv2.1b7.  Note: Version 2.3b7 of iVisit requires Winsock2.
If you get a WS2_32.DLL Not Found error when you try to run this version of iVisit, then you need Winsock2.
Macintosh:
Download iVisit v2.3b7 for MacOS.  Note:  Some people experience crashes with the newest version.  If this happens download Version 2.2b3.
Load and configure software.  Test by following these steps:
Connect to the Internet (AOL Version 5 works but the program will ask for the correct IP Address and it lists two - for me it is the IP address that begins with a three digit number.)
Start the iVisit program which should connect you to iVisit.  Look around and practice creating a room and invite another class member to meet you there.  Instructions are on the iVisit page that was created for this class.
Contact the instructor if you have questions or problems setting up and connecting.
Indicate on the poll when you have completely configured your camera and successfully connected to the the iVisit connection site.
Meet/drop-in at iVisit on Thursday, May 4 between 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. to test your connection and make sure you can send and received video and chat.
Read the iVisit Users' Guide - http://www.ivisit.com/guide.html and for fun you may wish to read A Day in the Life of iVisit - http://www.ivisit.com/intro.html.
Submit promotional page for team Town Meeting (team captains).
Submit a reflection for Week Six.
