Having the opportunity to learn along with my students how to utilize the technology that was provided to my class to create memorable projects. Received the A+ Award in Granville County Schools 2000-2001. Received the WORKS Award in Vance County School 2001-2002. Successfully completing MAST I 2001. Participating in the TIES Program while in Granville County Schools.

 

What are some of the ways you are currently using technology in your role as an educator? Creating several activities relating to Science and Math that my students can use a a supplemental to their regular course work. Designing a classroom web page that can be used by my students as well as their parents.

 

List some of the things that you are most interested in learning during the next two weeks of this MAST II workshop.

• Designing a classroom web site.
• Developing several different activities; workstations that can be utilized in the classroom.

What are two of your goals for yourself as an educator in the future?

• Helping to provide more technology for Henderson Middle School in order to provide students with the best education in the 21st Century.

Describe something you have done for students during the past year which had an outcome that you were particularly pleased with.

• Allowing my students to create actual IMovies utilize all the equipment that was provided through the TIES Program.

• What are some of your hobbies? Helping other people Movies Cooking Spending time with my family Music Singing

What is one of your favorite places to travel to and why?

• Home - New Jersey
• My vacation resort in WIlliamsburg, Va.

Do you have any pets? If so, what?

Yes; I have a beta fish and it lives in a beta vase with a beautiful peace lily flower. They are extremely easy to take care of because you only have to feed the fish once a week.

Do you have children?

I have three children; two boys and one girl. My daughter, Loresa is a junior in high school. She wants to pursue a career as a pediatrician. Marshall is a seventh grader. He wants to pursue a career in computer science. Adrion is a first grader and he wants to be a wrestler.
