One of the highlights as a professional educator was to have the opportunity to teach in North Carolina. I learned a lot about different types of students that I haven't had the opportunity to teach. I feel more confident in teaching these types of children and feel ready to tackle any class.

When I have technology in the classroom I use the Internet for research. The students take their research and use a word processer to produce a publication. I have also taught HTML language to students so they could produce their own websites. I have used various software packages to reinforce concepts taught in the classroom.

I am interested in learning how to design a website using a web designer program. I would also like to know how to use technology more efficiently in the classroom with cooperative learning.

In the future I would like to be a technology specialist in a school and help other teachers implement technology in to the classroom.

I introduced the concept of cooperative learning in my classroom. After a few attempts the students worked very well in groups. They also learned to become more responsible for their own learning.

I like to travel and I am interested in other cultures. I enjoy photography and taking pictures of the people I meet on my travels. I like to cook and do craft work.

One of my favorite places in the world is Tibet. I liked it because it was so hard to get there (4 day train trip, 2hr plane ride). As it is so isolated, the Provence still has retained a lot of it's culture. It was fascinating to see people dressed in animal skins, herding sheep down the main road of Lhasa, and spinning prayer wheels.
